COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP WINNERS 2010!

President's Foreword
Officers and Bowlers of Monmouthshire.
It is a great honour to server the Monmouthshire Bowling Association as its President for 2010.
I now look forward to serving Monmouthshire to the best of my ability and to uphold the tradition and high standards of the County at all times.
To Newport Bowling Association, I would like to record my gratitude for their nomination and to my own club Newport Athletic for their support in my year as President. I would also like to thank our outgoing President Viv Parker and the Executive Officers for their help and guidance during my term as Senior Vice President. Congratulations to Alan Gripton on his election to Senior Vice President and to Mostyn Lewis on his election to Junior Vice President. I look forward to working with them in 2010.
Once again the County finals produced some excellent bowling and all participants must be congratulated on all their performances, special congratualtions to all the winners.
The County congratulates Roger Jones on his success in winning the British Isles Championship and to Tom Hancock on winning the Welsh Bowling Association Singles Championship. Well done also to all the County Welsh Internationals during the 2009 season.
R.T.B. Ebbw Vale once again achieved the double in winning the League and Cup, a wonderful achievement for their third consecutive league title and their second consecutive league and cup double.
I wish the County Championship and over 60's Championship teams good luck for 2010 and let us hope we can improve on last years results. Finally, I look forward to meeting you all on or off the green and thanks to all the members of Monmouthshire for their support. Good health, good weather and good bowling to you all.
Richard A. Ford - President
