MBA statement Saturday 15th May 2021 (update from statement 23rd April)

From Monday 17th May 2021 Wales as a country goes to alert level 2 as indicated by the Welsh Government on Friday 14th May.

Our MBA league & MBA cup games will revert to our usual 4 rinks x fours.

WBA have directed us to 4 rinks x 3 bowl triples over 18 ends in Carruthers shield for our sectional games. We wait to see if this will be amended when we go to the knockout stages with round 1 on 10th July.

GBL games will be as normal format of 3 rinks x fours. This will assist those clubs struggling to get 12 players as they can play with a minimum of 9 players and lose a quarter of the shots as World Bowls law, 39.2.2.1 & 2.

Bowls Wales & WBA will be hosting a recruitment drive later in the season. Details to follow.

Indoor hospitality can re-open - 6 people from up to 6 different households.

As we have always indicated the health and wellbeing of our members is paramount and a return to bowls in a safe and orderly manner.

Let us make the most of season 2021 to place us in a better position for 2022.
