WBA
A great weekend for Monmouthshire in the second round of the Carruthers Shield with five club progressing to round three, Blaenavon lost at Pontrhydyfen which was always going to be a big ask for them but they will have gained valuable experience as they continue to develop their team. Blackwood beat Tenby at home by 9 and will now travel to Whitchurch in Cardiff. Beaufort overcame a strong Loughor challenge by 2 and also have a tough away day at Harlequins next. RTB had an excellent 2 shot win at Penylan and are rewarded with a home tie next against Gilfach Goch. Pontymister Athletic had a big win at home to Ogmore Vale and will have home advantage against Pontrhydyfen in round three. Cwmbran Park had a big win against Aberystwyth and keep home advantage in the next round against Dinas Powys.
Congratulations to you all and good luck in the next round.
