Caerleon Sports Weekly Round up


MBA Cup
Thursday evening saw the postponed semi final between Chepstow and RTB Ebbw Vale take place with St Julian's awaiting the winner in the final. RTB were quick out of the block and built on this over the course of the game to run out winners by 38 shots.
The final will take place at Caerleon on Friday 4th August.

MBA Competitions Finals
The fine weather made a perfectly timed retu on Saturday as the finals of the Monmouthshire competitions were played out at Caerleon.

MBA and GBL Leagues
On a quieter afteoon with no original scheduled figures due to the Monmouthshire finals day, a few teams took the opportunity to catch up on postponed fixtures.

MBA Division 1
Cwmbran moved back into 2nd place with a 13-1 win over Bedwas.

MBA Division 4
Ynysddu extended their lead at the top with a maximum 14 points at home to Panteg Park on Friday evening. Panteg House maintain their push for promotion with a 14-0 win over Beechwood whilst Six Bells picked up an 11-3 win against Oakdale to boost their chances of avoiding the drop.

MBA Division 5
Pontymister Welfare continue their unbeaten season at the top with a maximum 14 points at home to Gilwe.

GBL Division 1
Pontymister Athletic take pole position in the league following their 10-2 win against RTB on Thursday. Croesyceiliog continue their push with a 10-2 win over Bedwas.

GBL Division 2
No movement in the league but Abertillery close the gap with the teams above them following their 10-2 win over Beechwood.

GBL Division 3
Bailey Park move up 1 place to 3rd following a 10-0 win at Croesyceiliog.
