Monmouthshire successfully progressed to the semi-final of the W.B.A. Open Double Rink competition with 2 wins out of 3 at Llandrindod Wells.
They started out strongly with a 14 shot (36-22) win over Ceredigion before losing out to Mid Wales by 9 shots, 23-32. They finished strongly with a 15 shot (30-15) victory over Mid Glamorgan to finish top of the table by shot difference over South Glamorgan.
The team now face Mid Wales in the semi-finals on Sunday 2nd August at Llandrinod Wells, after they defeated West Glamorgan in an extra end play-off.
NOTE: Mid Wales and West Glamorgan finished all square on shot difference and ends won, so an extra end was played. Mid Wales won.
