A sad day for our bowling fraternity. After a special meeting on 22nd April 2019 due to a shortage of members at Llanwern Bowls Club, it was voted by members present that they have decided to fold.

It is with great sadness and regret I have to inform the Newport and Monmouthshire bowls associations that Llanwern Bowls Club are having to fold . We have tried everything to attract new members but due to lack of members and long term illness of some of our current members we can not raise a team to complete our fixtures . We did try to borrow players from other teams that have a large membership but was not successful.
