WLB Carruthers Shield
The 1st Round of the Carruthers Shield got underway with 16 teams looking to book their place in the 2nd round. Crickhowell and Pontymister Welfare unfortunately could not fields sides and their respective opponents Rhymney Gwent and Bedwas & Tretomas were given byes into round 2. There were home wins for Blaina (v Abertillery) and Pontypool Park Girlings ( Belle Vue) whilst the remaining matches all saw wins for the visitors as Pontnewydd (at Firbank), Blackwood(at Machen), Blaenavon (at Gadiffaith) and Beaufort (at Whiteheads).

MBA Division 1
St. Julians continued their winning start to the season, this time with an 11-3 win at Pontymister Athletic as they remain top. Crosskeys secured their first win of the season as they picked up maximum points at home to RTB Ebbw Vale.
MBA Division 2
In the only game of the afteoon in the division, Ynysddu started their campaign by collecting all 14 points on offer at home to Rhymney Royal.
MBA Division 3
A 2nd win of the season for Llanhilleth sees them move to the top of the table, as they collected 13 of the 14 points at Beechwood.
MBA Division 4
No Games.
MBA Division 5
A 3rd successive win for Six Bells (14-0 at home to Caerleon) and Newport Athletic (12-2 at home to Gilwe) sees both teams maintain their 100% start and head the way at the top.
3 Rink GBL - Division 1
Croesyceiliog doubled up on fixtures, as they entertained Caldicot and Crosskeys in the same day, coming away with 2 wins (10-2 v Caldicot and 12-0 v Crosskeys) to move clear at the top. A first win of the season for Pontymister Athletic (8-4 at Bedwas) sees them move up 1 place, whilst Monmouth secure a 2nd win of the season, a close 8-4 win at Blackwood.
3 Rink GBL - Division 2
A quieter afteoon in the division as 2 games were postponed due to player shortages. Newbridge move to the top as they secured their 2nd win of the season, a 10-2 win at Chepstow. Bedwellty Park move upto 2nd place as they kept up their winning start with an 11-1 win at home to Blaina.
2 Rink GBL - Division 1
Ynysddu move top as they picked up 8 points in a close battle at Pontypool Park Girlings. Elsewhere, Bailey Park won their 1st game of the season with all 10 points at home to Cwmbran Park.
2 Rink GBL - Division 2
Pontymister Athletic started their 2 rink campaign with 10 points at Blackwood. Panteg Park remain top despite falling to defeat at New Tredgear, whilst Caldicot and Panteg House shared the spoils as they played out a draw.
