MBA Cup
Friday saw the MBA Cup continue as temperatures dropped following a scorching week. Unfortunately only 2 of the 4 Quarter Finals took place, with Crosskeys ( 90-47 v New Tredegar) and Pontnewydd ( 77-55.25 v Pontnewydd) securing their place in the semi final.

MBA Division 1
A 10-4 win for Bedwas at St Julian's sees them move up into 2nd place whilst Blackwood secured a narrow victory at Pontymister Athletic, winning 9-5.
MBA Division 2
A 12-2 win for Bedwellty Park at Rhymney Gwent was enough to see them move to top of division 2 as previously leaders RTB Ebbw Vale fell to a narrow 10-4 defeat at home to Cwmbran Park. Pontnewydd remain 3rd following a 4 shot, 10-4 win over Blaenavon whilst Newbridge rise to 5th with a 12-2 win at Caldicot.
MBA Division 3
The gap at the top of division 3 has narrowed as Leaders New Tredegar fell to a 10-4 defeat at Chepstow however Pontypool Park missed the change to go top as Abertillery secure a comfortable 12-2 win at home to them. Panteg House move with 5 points of the top spot with a 10-4 win over Beechwood whilst Rhymney Royal trade places in the standing with Llanhilleth following their 12-2 win.
MBA Division 4
A maximum 14 points for Aberca against Crickhowell sees them open up a 16 point lead at the top whilst Newport Athletic remain in the hunt with a 12-2 win over Six Bells. Panteg Park moved into 4th place with a 12-2 win over Beaufort and a 10-4 win for Abergavenny at Machen sees them into 6th place.
MBA Division 5
The gap at the top of Division 5 narrows as Oakdale Welfare took all 14 points off leaders Whiteheads, now sitting in 3rd place. Firbank move upto 2nd with a 13-1 win at Pontymister Welfare. Elsewhere Caerleon ( 9-5 at Gilwe ) and Gadiffaith ( 10-4 at Belle Vue ) both secured their 2nd wins of the season.
3 Rink GBL - Division 1
The top 3 in the division all fell to defeat over the weekend. Crosskeys remain top despite an 11-1 defeat to RTB Ebbw Vale on Sunday. Bedwellty Park won 10-2 at home to 2nd place Blackwood whilst there was also a home defeat for Croesyceiliog as they lost 10-2 to Newbridge. Monmouth were the sole home victors this week with a convincing 12-0 win over RTB Ebbw Vale.
3 Rink GBL - Division 2
Leaders Chepstow increased their lead at the top of the division to 12 points but had to settle for 5 points as they drew with Cwmbran Park. Bedwas missed the change to close the gap as they fell to a 12-0 defeat to Ynynsddu who moved upto 5th with the win. Abergavenny now sit 3rd in the standings as they won 10-2 against Aberca.
2 Rink GBL - Division 1
An 8-2 win for Bailey Park against New Tredegar is enough to keep them top but Croesyceiliog continue to close the gap as they collected 10 points at home to Pontypool Park. Pontymister Athletic remain 3rd following their draw with Caldicot (5-5) whilst Panteg House move into 4th with a 10-0 win at Beaufort.
2 Rink GBL - Division 2
In the only game on the Saturday, Panteg Park look unstoppable as they won an 8th consecutive game at Beechwood, picking up all 10 points to move 29 points clear at the summit. Sunday saw Pontymister rise to 2nd in the standings with a 9-1 win over Beechwood whilst Crickhowell won on both rinks with their visit to Bedwellty Park.
