National Finals 2025
Last Week saw the National Finals as our competition finalists all looked to become Welsh Champions and present Wales at new Years British Isles Championship in Ayr, Scotland.
A Huge congratulation to the following on winning their Respective titles:-
- Open Singles Connor Murphy - New Tredegar
- Open Triples - Roger Harvey, Joe Mower & Danny Davies Jnr. - Crosskeys
- Open Fours - Roger Harvey, Ian Slade, Joe Mower & Danny Davies Jnr. - Crosskeys
Mention must also go to Jack Rees of Blaina who reached the final of the Under 18s, only to fall at the final hurdle against Elijah Minnett of Mid Glamorgan, who secured an impressive 3rd consecutive Under 18s title.
County Championship Semi Final / Final
Congratulation to our county championship side on Sunday who made it to the final of the county championship but narrowly missed out on being crowned Welsh Champions by the narrowest of margins, 1 shot against South Glamorgan.
The team had performed a dramtic comeback in the semi-final against Pembrokeshire in the moing, trailing by 30 shots at one point only to completely tu the game around in the later stages to run out winners by 21 shots.

MBA Division 1
Blackwood remain top as they picked up 12 points at Pontymister Athletic but Crosskeys maintain their pressure on the leaders and reduce their lead to 6 points as they secured all 14 points at Cwmbran Park. Croesyceiliog move out of the dropzone as they came away with a narrow 10-4 win at home to Bedwas whilst 12 points for St. Julians at RTB Ebbw Vale sees them hold onto 4th spot. Sunday saw RTB Ebbw Vale pick up their first win of the campaign as they took 13 points away from Cwmbran.
MBA Division 2
A 12-2 win for Ynysddu over Newbridge sees them all but wrap up the division 2 title, with Newbridge now the only team who could pip them to the title if they secure 3 maximum wins and overtu a massive shot difference in their final games. Blaenavon moved up in the 2nd promotion spot following their 12-2 win over Rhymney Gwent whilst Caldicot improved their chance of avoiding the drop with a 12-2 win over Pontypool Park Girlings.
MBA Division 3
Long time leaders Bedwellty Park move to within 1 win of securing promotion and the 3rd division title as they took home another 14 points following victory at Llahilleth. Panteg House took the upper hand in the race for 2nd spot as they won 10-4 at home to Pontnewydd who drop to 3rd but only 4 points behind in the standings. A 12-2 win for Abergavenny at home to Chepstow still gives them a chance to avoiding the drop but they will still need to win their 2 remaining games and hope other results go their way whilst Beechwood also improved their chance of survival with a 12-2 win over Machen to move out of the relegation zone at the expense of their opponents.
MBA Division 4
No movement in the standings as New Tredegar still head the way with big 14-0 win over Whiteheads whilst Abertillery maintain their push for promotion with a 12-2 win at Panteg Park to lie 2nd in the standings. Oakdale are also in the hunt for promotion as they season end approaches as they sit 8 points off the promotion spot following a 14-0 win over Beaufort. Aberca sit 4th as they secured a 10-4 win at Firbank.
MBA Division 5
With the top 2 not in action this week, all eyes tued to the battle taking place for the 3rd promotion spot as the standings remain close. Pontymister Welfare close the gap with 3rd place Crickhowell to 4 points with a 10-4 over the promotion chasing counterparts whilst Oakdale Welfare also remain firmly in the mix, level on points with Pontymister Welfare, following a 12-2 win over Belle, leaving just 4 points between 3rd and 5th place. Caerleon moved upto 6th in the standings with a comfortable 12-2 win over Gadiffaith whilst Gilwe also rose up the table with an 11-3 win over PILCS.
3 Rink GBL - Division 1
Pontymister Athletic took over at the top of division 1 in the race for the title as they came way with all 14 points from Crosskeys whilst Croesyceiliog drop to 2nd following their 12-0 defeat at RTB Ebbw Vale, who remain 3rd and in the mix for title. Blackwood ended their campaign with a 12-0 win over Caldicot whilst Bedwas kept their hopes of avoiding the drop alive with a 10-2 win at home to Monmouth.
3 Rink GBL - Division 2
Saturday saw a few postponments due to player shortages with Blaina overcoming Abergavenny 10-2, the sole suriving game of the day. Sunday saw Bedwellty Park increase their lead at the top to 11 points with an 11-3 win over Abergavenny whilst Beechwood picked up their first win with a 10-2 win over Pontymister Welfare.
2 Rink GBL - Division 1
Only the sole game played during the week with Ynysddu moving upto 2nd in the table following an 8-2 win over Bailey Park, who following the defeat must now wait to see if they will be crowned Champions in the coming weeks as other teams complete their fixtures.
2 Rink GBL - Division 2
An 8-2 win for Blackwood sees them move up 1 place in the standings with victory over Panteg Park, who move upto 3rd despite the defeat. Elsewhere New Tredegar and Champions Panteg House played out a draw, sharing the points 5-5.
