The cup matches were sorted this week with Abertillery beating Croesyceiliog and Bedwas beating Caldicot to make the last eight.

 

Friday was inter association and Easte Valley continued their good form winning 20-2 at South Mon, West Mon continue to chase after a 18-4 win over Newport.

 

Today was a very wet and thundery day across the county but those who survived saw a very tight game at the top of MBA 2 with Pontnewydd winning 12-2 at Beaufort by one shot. Abertillery also won 12-2 at home to Caldicot. The game at Brynmawr was abandoned after five ends.

 

Bedwellty stay top after a 10-4 win over St Julians and Blaina move up to second after winning 12-2 at Rhymney Royal, Aberca also won 12-2 at Panteg House.

 

Whiteheads keep pushing the pace after beating Pontymister Welfare 11-3 with Blaenavon moving up to second after winning 11-3 at Caerleon. Panteg Park are up to fourth after a 12-2 win at Firbank.

 

Beechwood move up to second after a 12-2 win over Belle Vue and Gadiffaith also move up after a 12-2 win at Gilwe.

 

Pontymister Athletic move up to second after winning 12-0 against Aberca, the other two matches both finished level with Bedwas picking up 7-5 points at RTB 44 all and Pontymister Welfare also having 7-5 in a 40 shot all game against Crickhowell.

 

The only result I have saw Monmouth go top after a 12-0 win against Blackwood.
