MBA Cup
On a very wet Friday across the county, St Julians booked their place in the final of the cup with victory over New Tredegar. They wait the winner of Chepstow and RTB after their match was called off due to a waterlogged green at Crosskeys.
 
WBA Carruthers Shield
Blaenavon continued their impressive run in the Carruthers shield with a 14 shot win over Old Llandorians to book their place at Llandrindod wells in August where they will face Penylan.
Good luck to both Blaenavon Bowls Club and RTB Ebbw Vale in the semi finals.
 
MBA Division 1
Crosskeys continue their unbeaten run at the top with 2 wins this week, 12 points at Pontymister Athletic on Wednesday followed by another 12 at home to Blackwood yesterday. Croesyceiliog move second after a maximum 14 win over Chepstow whilst Bedwas win at RTB 11-3.
 
MBA Division 2
Pontnewydd move into the 2nd promotion spot on shot count with a 10-4 over Pontypool Park Girlings. Abergavenny move out of the dropzone with 10 points at Caldicot. Machen and Rhymney Gwent was called off due to a waterlogged green.
 
MBA Division 3
In the only game of the afteoon, St Julians extend their lead at the top in a repeat of the cup semi final, winning 12-2 at New Tredgar
 
MBA Division 4
Ynysddu retu to winning ways with a 12-2 win at Firbank. Oakdale move up to 3rd with a 12-2 win at Aberca. Six Bells and Beechwood was another victim of the weather.
 
MBA Division 5
The battle of the top 2 unfortunately was another casualty of the weather allowing Caerleon to close the gap to 4 points following their 14 points at Crickhowell. Newport Athletic move 4th after their 12 points against Pontyfelin.
 
GBL Division 1
Newbridge take over at the top following their 10-2 win at Chepstow. Bedwas move up a place following their 10-2 win at home to RTB.
 
GBL Division 2
Abertillery pick up 12 at home to Blackwood sees them move a place whilst Beechwood pick up 10 at home to Abergavenny.
 
GBL Division 3
A quiet afteoon in the 2 rink league with a sole game surviving the weather, Croesyceiliog take the spoils 8-2 in the top of the table clash against St Julians to close the gap
